Turquoise Institute operates as a direct-pay, out-of-network practice and does not participate with commercial insurance plans or Medicare/Medicaid. 4. Do you offer telemedicine appointments?
Yes. We offer telemedicine consultations and follow-up visits for appropriate patients. Virtual visits allow you to receive expert evaluation, treatment recommendations, and ongoing care from the comfort of your home.
5. How long are appointments?
New patient consultations are typically 60 minutes, allowing sufficient time for a detailed history, comprehensive evaluation, and personalized treatment planning. Follow-up visits are generally 30 minutes.
6. Can I receive treatment on the same day as my consultation?
In many cases, yes. Depending on your diagnosis and treatment plan, same-day diagnosis and treatment may be available. Our goal is to provide timely, efficient care whenever appropriate.
7. What interventional pain procedures do you offer?
We offer a variety of minimally invasive procedures, including migraine treatments and injections, ultrasound-guided joint injections, peripheral nerve blocks, trigger point injections, carpal tunnel injections, hyaluronic acid injections, Botox for cervical dystonia, and other image-guided pain procedures.
8. What is regenerative medicine?
Regenerative medicine uses the body’s natural healing mechanisms to repair damaged tissues, reduce inflammation, and restore function. Treatments may include Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), stem cell therapies, and exosome-based therapies.
9. What is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy?
PRP therapy involves drawing a small sample of your blood, concentrating the platelets using specialized processing techniques, and precisely injecting the platelet-rich solution into the injured area. PRP may help promote tissue healing and reduce pain.
10. What conditions can regenerative therapies help treat?
Regenerative therapies may be beneficial for conditions such as osteoarthritis, tendon injuries, ligament injuries, certain spine conditions, and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
11. Are regenerative treatments covered by insurance?
Most regenerative treatments, including PRP, stem cell therapy, and exosome therapy, are not covered by insurance and are considered self-pay services.
12. Is a referral required to schedule an appointment?
No referral is necessary. Patients may schedule an appointment directly with our office.
13. What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring any relevant medical records, imaging studies (MRI, CT, X-rays), medication lists, previous procedure reports, and insurance information if you plan to seek out-of-network reimbursement.

Yes. Dr. Tolebeyan has specialized fellowship training in Headache and Facial Pain Medicine and provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for migraine, chronic headache disorders, neuralgias, facial pain, and other complex headache conditions.
